THE FUNCTIONAL ART: THE EYE AND VISUAL BRAIN

THE FUNCTIONAL ART: THE EYE AND VISUAL BRAIN AND VISUALIZING FOR THE MIND
Due to the inherent characteristics of human brain structure, visual works should also be designed with full consideration, such as:

Avoid using area charts for comparison
When making comparison graphs, nonlinear visual elements should be considered when the differences are not obvious
When choosing multiple colors for visual coding, the differences should be large enough
When humans see a picture, they first simplify it into a whole and then refine it to each part. Instead of identifying the parts first and then stitching them together as a whole.

I think the visual data should be based on the characteristics of the human brain and eye to capture the key points, and the following characteristics should be obtained

Intimacy (where related information is physically put together, whereas less relevant information is separated by means of blanks, etc.)
Align (align elements horizontally and vertically for visual recognition)
Repeat (repeat a pattern, such as the color of title 1, the color of title 2, etc., to be repeated and consistent)

The human brain likes different things. Different colors, shapes, and lengths on the same piece of paper stimulate the brain.

Since I am an MPA student, I want to share a sentence here: visualization is not limited to Numbers, but also concepts, such as the political spectrum. I tried to incorporate political tendencies into the chart and show how they permeate society and culture from the government, affecting families and individuals and, in turn, politics.
